As your equipment ages, the various rolling surfaces (tires and trunnions) can develop ridges, grooves, or flat spots. This is normal since the rolling/contact surfaces are wear items. When such wear becomes apparent, a call to IK&D will begin the process of restoring your dryer's rotary components to a smooth and efficient state - like they were when the machinery originally shipped from the factory.
A team from IK&D can visit your plant and restore the wear surfaces on tires and trunnions without a period of costly downtime. Once preparations have been made, our professional team will move in, set-up, correct and restore your tires and trunnions so that vibrations and shaking stop. If adjustment and alignment problems are also involved, the same crew can provide that service so your dryer will run smoothly without damage to piers or footings.
In most cases, IK&D's customer service team can estimate a reconditioning project over the telephone. After a few pertinent questions, checking of crew schedules, and insuring equipment availability, IK&D can estimate your project and provide tentative start and completion dates.
