| IKD offers grinding services for your tires and trunnion rolls. |

Grinding procedures trim up the surfaces of your tires
or trunnion rolls to make everything parallel to the
axis of rotation and take the imperfections out of the
face of the equipment. Grinding and alignment go hand
in hand, our company does it at the same time (as opposed
to other companies).
Reliability and efficiency are top benefits of this
procedure. Bringing your equipment parts back as close
to OEM specs as you can will increase bearing life,
wear characteristics and energy savings. Studies show
that before and after grinding, the amperage load on
the equipment will actually decrease, creating less
work on your rotary equipment and increasing productivity. |

Wear and
tear on your shell could compromise your entire operations
due to abrasion, corrosion or stress cracking. Replacing
your entire unit is not always necessary or practical.
IKD offers the replacement of shell sections to eliminate
the damaged and worn out areas. Another service IKD offers

Burner Operation: Burners can be too small, too large or the wrong type. An incorrectly sized or selected burner can lead to improper air/gas ratio which results in:
- Unwanted quenching of the process gas into the dryer
- Inadequate combustion
Proper burner selection and operation is critical for optimizing performance and profit. IKD will select and implement the correct burner, based on the specifics as dictated by the material being processed and in conjunction with the dryer size and exhaust system capability. We consider the whole system.
Steam Chest:Have you ever water logged your steam tube dryer? We can solve that problem. For a steam tube dryer to perform you must be able to:
- Introduce steam into the manifold
- Remove condensate from the manifold
Our steam manifolds have over 100 years of history behind them. They are the best in the world. We have them operating at this moment, at 450 PSIG steam pressure. They are built in an ASME Code shop backed by a Certificate of Authorization through the National Board of Boiler & Pressure Vessel Inspectors. We’re bona-fide! We can install a new manifold on your steam tube dryer which will provide years of service.

The lack of proper seals allows unwanted air to enter into the dryer. This can result in:
- Unwanted quenching of the hot gas;
- Excess gas velocity through the dryer which shortens retention and limits capacity;
- Potential condensation of water inside the dryer; and
- Potential mudding of the dust collector.
Choosing the correct seal is important. Some of the seal types offered by IKD include:
- Overlapping leaf type
- Carbon graphite block
- Floating angle
- Hi-temp rubber
- Kevlar belt
IKD can select and install proper seals on your dryer which will prevent air leakage, save on fuel consumption and help prevent process problems.
